Water Level Details
GOOD. Water stained; 58 degrees; 9.10 feet below pool. Crappie are very close to moving shallow to spawn. Look in the north end for the first spawning fish of the year. The spawn will move south as the lake warms up even more in the weeks to come. Check deeper water around docks and move shallower as the days warm up. Minnows and jigs should both work. Largemouth bass are in prespawn mode also. Spinnerbaits across main lake points and jerkbaits fished parallel to rocky banks have been putting fish in the boat. Hybrids and sand bass have been active also. Look toward the north end of the lake for fish staging to spawn. These fish are very sensitive to weather changes and will move in and out with them. Slabs and swimbaits are good lures to start with. Blue catfish have been good on cut bait, look at the north end to find some fish. All ramps are open.
